LilyGO T-Echo Plus
Take the 868 MHz version with the BME280 barometer. 868 MHz is the ADS-L band in Europe. The 433 and 915 MHz versions do not transmit on the right frequency. The BME280 is required for skyBlip conformity.

Drop the skyBlip file on the USB drive that shows up. With the device plugged in over USB-C, two presses of RST open the TECHOBOOT drive, where the .uf2 of the latest release goes.
Your aircraft type and your callsign, in the device’s menu.
From the browser, over Bluetooth, each one approved on the screen.
The same file works on both devices. Updates go through Manage my skyBlip. For now, only development builds are published.

It is required for skyBlip conformity. Some T-Echo units are sold without it: pick the version that lists it.
No. The device comes assembled. The firmware installs over the USB cable.
No. The firmware and its updates are free, and will stay free.
No: the update page needs Web Bluetooth, which Safari does not have. Use Chrome or Edge, on a computer or on Android. Installing over a USB cable, from a computer, needs no browser.
The skyBlip firmware leaves the T-Echo’s factory bootloader alone. The other software available for the device installs again as before.
